How can I create a security group in Power Apps so that when I share an app with this group, members do not receive any emails or notifications in Teams?

    To create a security group in Power Apps without sending notification emails or Teams messages, follow these steps carefully:

    1. Create a Security Group in Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)

    1. Go to Microsoft Entra Admin Center.
    2. Navigate to Groups > All groups > New group.
    3. Set the following:
      • Group type: Security
      • Group name: Provide a meaningful name
      • Membership type: Assigned
    4. Add the required users.
    5. Click Create to save the security group.

    2. Avoid Notifications When Sharing Power Apps

    By default, Power Apps sends emails to users when an app is shared.

    To prevent this:

    1. Go to the Power Apps Maker Portal (https://make.powerapps.com).
    2. Select your app.
    3. Click Share and select the newly created security group.
    4. Uncheck the "Send an email invitation to new users" checkbox.
    5. Click Share to save the changes.

    3. Avoid Notifications in Teams

    If your app is integrated with Microsoft Teams, no automatic notification is sent upon sharing. However, ensure:

    • Do not pin the app for users when configuring Teams app permissions.

    Best Practices

    • Use Security Groups (not M365 groups) to avoid email notifications.
    • Inform users manually through internal channels if needed.
