Hi all,
I have created an app and I would like to add a Planner to the Powerapp, I want the information I entered into the app to create a Task into the Planner (but only if a certain field is filled out or a button clicked - don't mind which option). Is this possible?
I have seen the video for integrating the Planner with Powerapps, but that is based on creating a brand new app, which I really don't want to start all over again as the app is quite complex and complicated.
Thank you
Aura
I considered this, but it's too complicated for what I am trying to achieve.
I just want a simple way to share the entry we added in my app to a planner. The issue I have is that I will not be the only person using the app, there will be a lot of different departments and people using it, and can't really use any of the options mentioned above as these seem to be linked to my own personal mailbox.
If you don’t mind setting up something a little different for the Planner piece, then you could use the Boards view in a SharePoint list, which looks like a planner board. Then you could access all the items through a Power Apps SharePoint connection.
Example template using a Boards view: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Cookbook/Project-Tracker-SharePoint-and-Teams/td-p/1788102
It's not resolved, still haven't found a solution for this. Not sure copying parts of the template works in this scenario.
Hi @auracarp ,

Hi @auracarp ,
What you may do is to copy (parts of) that template app into your existing app. Like that you don't have to manually re-create the functionality, but you can re-use something that is already available to you.
Thanks for the suggestion, I did see this...but I am trying to integrate the planner with an existing app, not create a new one. The app I have created it's really complicated and complex with a lot of formulas and option, and will take me a long time to start it all over again. But if that's the only option I might have to do that in the end 🙂
Hi @auracarp ,
Then consider starting with the QuickTask sample template.
If you go to make.powerapps.com, then click Create and then under Start from template, select the QuickTask template:
A deep dive video on this template is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c2NMT74xUA
Unfortunately I work off a company computer and they have limited the download of external apps/files, so I need to find a solution that doesn't involve a download.
Hi @auracarp,
You can consider using an Iframe component to play the planner insider the Power App: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Webinars-and-Video-Gallery/Power-Apps-iFrame-Component/td-p/765847
