I have a Canvas app that allows users to input data, and I need to enable email functionality within the app.
The requirement is that all emails should be sent from a designated service account, rather than the logged-in user’s account, to ensure consistency and maintain control over the sender's address. I’m currently using the Office365Outlook connector to manage the email functionality, but I’m unable to find an option to authenticate the connector with the service account instead of the app user. I've been reading about Implicit authorisation types but no details about howto setup.
I also have licensing constraints so am not able to use premium features.
I would appreciate guidance on how to set up the connector to use the service account for sending emails.
The app will be shared with Everyone, but I am unable to grant "reply on behalf of" permissions to Everyone for the Service Account. I would also prefer not to use the Power Automate option.
