The CDS entity 'open in excel' feature is limited to 5000 rows in excel. Hence, the rows beyond first 5000 cannot be updated and published back to the CDS entity from excel. Is there a workaround for this 5000 rows limit? Please help.

Currently, there is no official doc mentioned about the limitation in the "Open in Excel" feature of CDS entity.

In addition, for PowerApps CDS, there is also no hard limit on the number of rows/records.

I think this issue may be related to the size of the data you uploaded to your CDS entity. The user @VFXPro1 has faced similar issue with you, please check the following thread:
