Copilot Studio Agent - not sending customEvents to Application Insight

I have configured an Application Insight connection string to a Copilot Studio Agent. The Application Insight instance has "disabled local authentication" setting. Currently, running Copilot Studio agent session doesn't send any customEvent to the Application Insight end. Application Insights suggested that "applications must use the Monitoring Metrics Publisher role in addition to the instrumentation key". Is there any further configuration/setup required for Copilot Studio Agent to fix this issue.

I am not sure what part isn't working for you without seeing everything, can you please verify you have all these steps correct?

I followed the instructions and copy the connection string from Application Insight and copy to copilot studio agent > settings > advanced > application insights > connection strings. By enabling "Local Authentication" in Application Insight and start a test session in copilot studio, customEvents (start Topic / end Topic) were sent to App Insight in 1-2 min. By disable "Local Authentication" and make another test session in copilot studio, there is no more new customEvents

Can you share if you were able to resolve and if so how?

    Cheers

No, the problem is not resolved yet. According to the App Insights' documentation on Disabling local authentication:

Disabling local authentication enhances the security of your Application Insights resource by requiring that all actions are strongly authenticated. When disabled, applications must use the Monitoring Metrics Publisher role in addition to the Instrumentation key to publish telemetry and API Keys cannot be used.

However, from MCS documentation,Capture telemetry with Application Insights - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn, there is no instruction on how to configure Monitoring Metrics Publisher role. Appreciate it if someone could provide more instructions.
