Power Apps License & Guest sharing

Hi,

I want to create an app in power apps in my company's tenant and then want external users to use it. Its  huge set of users (B2C) and buying license for all, even if its 5$ per month per app is too much.

I saw something as sharing the app to the users by adding them as a guest user in my Azure AD.

By doing that, what access do the users gain? Will they be directly exposed to my tenant information and data?

If any user do not have Microsoft account or any license , will they be able to access as guest user?

    Hi @Aparupa1 ,

    Whichever way you go, the user will need a licence either in their tenant or yours. A guest user in your Tenant still needs to be allocated one of your licences for them to run Power Apps.

    Microsoft Power Pages is designed for building apps used by people outside your organisation. It's licensed based on the number of anonymous site visitors and number of authenticated users that use the Power Pages site each month.

    One of my customers built a complex canvas app in Power Apps for external users and licensed them as guest users with pay-as-you-go Power Apps licenses. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/pay-as-you-go-overview

    If I accept external user in my tenant, means I add them in my azure AD. Is that chargable?

    I want to not pay any extra for the license. I have E3 license

    @Aparupa1 ,

    Yes it is chargeable per user (you need to allocate each external user one of your available licences) , whether you use a Per App or Per User licence. Other than the Power Pages path that @NeilBenson has mentioned, the bottom line is that every user, internal or eternal who accesses a Power App needs a licence.

    Hi, have you looked into Dataverse for Teams, it is a great place to start building your Power App shared with guest if your guest and you both have Teams for Business no premium license required.  Find more information here: Role assignments for Dataverse for Teams environment
