Create dataverse table from excel

Sorry I meant to put this one with my last question.  So next is my quest to simply create a dataverse table from an excel file I go th "Tables, "new table", "table from external data".  Seems to be no connection for excel offered.

So next I go to "import data from excel" where I am offered a bewildering selection of "entities"  that make no sense, but certainly don't seem to point me to my excel file.  So I click "learn more" and I am directed to an article about "Import or export data from Dataverse"  No I am wanting to import data INTO not FROM dataverse.

I have the same question (0)

    @standenman ,

    • Import data from Excel allows you to import a file and map the columns to an existing table
    • Import data allows you to import a file using dataflows to import the rows.  You can run the import to create the table and then delete the dataflow connection afterwards.

    To import Excel data into Dataverse, you must have a table which already exists to run a bulk import. Either create the Dataverse table manually and then run the Import data from Excel option, or create a Dataverse table from an Excel file using dataflows

    What you need is to use here is data flows..

    Thank you Mira and Amik for your answers.  So I have created a dataflow based upon excel file "MyTestExcel".  I just went with all defaults.  At the end, not any direction on where to do next.  I look at tables and see I have a table "MyTestExcel" but it has no data.

    You will need to publish and refresh your data flow.

Details: P01040159 (Request ID: 0cb57357-b5d4-4746-8e2d-cc9965593c18)."

    I have gone through every column in the excel file making sure format is either "number" or "text" as appropriate.  Once in power query I can see the little icons in the column name cell indicating the correct data type.  But each time I get the following error code: "
