any limitation to develop PVA in Teams app with Bot composer ?

 license i have are "Power Virtual Agents Viral Trial" and "Power Virtual Agents for Office 365". 

 

I just saw some information from link, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/advanced-bot-framework-composer-example1,  it mention that below. 


Composer integration isn't available to users who only have the Teams Power Virtual Agents license. You must have a trial or full Power Virtual Agents license.

 

 

But i still wonder, if i develop PVA in Teams app with bot composer, not in PVA web client, is there any limitation ?

 

still have time-limited issue  for Power Virtual Agents because i just have Power Virtual Agents Viral Trial license ?

    You can deploy a bot created with the regular PVA web designer to Teams, but that bot won't be covered by the Teams license. So yes, I suspect your trial hasn't expired yet.  Or you renewed it. PVA trials can be renewed after 30 days.

    but everything seems work well for my Test-2, using bot composer for my bot in Teams, so I just wonder why ?

    maybe my trial license not expired yet ?

    Correct, extending a PVA bot with Bot Framework Composer dialogs, for example to send adaptive cards, requires a Power Virtual Agents subscription. So, it’s not covered by select Office 365 / Microsoft 365 plans with PVA for Teams.

    Given the tests you've described you are not developing the bot in the PVA client inside Teams. So I wouldn't expect the bot to be covered by the Teams license just because you only deploy it to Teams.

    Very Thanks your comment. I think i should described more and clarify my question  🙂 

     

    My target is only to develope one chatbot only using in Teams. 

     

    (Test-1) Develop in the unified authoring canvas


    In the beginning, i created the chatbot from PVA website "https://web.powerva.microsoft.com/", and developed in the unified authoring canvas


    After couple of weeks, i definitely enconterd the issue trial expiration, i saw notification when i logined https://web.powerva.microsoft.com/

    (Test-2) Develop with bot composer for classic chatbot

     

    After that, instead of creating new chatbot form https://powervirtualagents.microsoft.com/, I turned to other way. I logged in https://teams.microsoft.com/, then found the app "Power virutal agent" to create the classic Chatbot.

     

    I followed the below guide to use bot framwork composer framwork in my pc, created one adaptive cards then published to my chatbot.

    But when i learned more about bot composer, I just saw some information from link, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/advanced-bot-framework-composer-example1, it mention that below.

    You can't use Bot Composer if you are using the PVA app inside Teams to develop the bot.  That is the limitation. You can develop a bot in the regular PVA web client and deploy it to Teams and use the bot Composer.  But that will require a regular PVA license or trial.
