When connecting to Share Point what is the list that the connection is referreing to?
I hope I'm understanding your question correctly. When you add a SharePoint Data Connector, the Connector itself isn't tied to any specific list, just your SharePoint Environment.
I think it answered my question, but to be sure. What is a list? and how is created in Share Point?
A List is basically a collection of information. It's very similar to data within an Excel Spreadsheet. You have Columns or Headers that describe what information you want to store then you have the data itself. For example, you could store a list of Contacts with corresponding information (First Name, Last Name, Phone #, Email, etc) in a SharePoint List. SharePoint has several pre-built templates you can use that have these columns already built out or you can start from scratch. You just click the gear then "Add an App" then select your template to create a List in SharePoint.
