Using video/gif in PVA

Hello!

I am currently attempting to use a video with my bot in PVA. I have adhered to the following instructions, but my attempts have proven to be unsuccessful:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Webinars-and-Video-Gallery/Returning-an-image-as-a-message/td-p/575677

Using this methodology, I have had the bot return images, but the videos did not output. The videos are currently hosted on both the Stream and Vimeo platforms.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi Renato,

    Thanks for the method for introducing a link to an video in the response of PVA. I used this method extensively in my chatbots and it works well.

    However, when the chatbots are recently tested again after not being used for 6 months, the following issue is found, the preview image disappears as shown in the following screen cap:

    However, if I right-click on the (empty) response and click "Immersive Reader", I can see the link to the video in the Immersive Reader:

    On the other hand, if I try this using the "Test chatbot", the preview image and the link is normal:

    I checked that the response from the flow is normal, return an object:

    {
    "returnobject": "[![test video](https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIP.IWkbOf-SXGMxFfACHnLX9QHaHa?w=160&h=180&c=7&r=0&o=5&pid=1.7)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efCU28xDhs4)"
    }

    Do you have any hint on how to resolve this issue? Thanks very much.

    Regards,

    Eric

    Hi @Viewman ,

    Follow below another topic that answers your question:

    You can use a Power Automate flow to insert a video thumbnail into you Dialog in Power VA via markdown.

    Example of markdown:

    [![Intro to Power Virtual Agents](https://img.youtube.com/vi/J5i7h4Uzju4/0.jpg)]

    (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5i7h4Uzju4)

    Clicking on the image icon in Dialog will play the Video in a new tab.
