New vs Classic dropdowns

Hi all,

I was spinning in circles trying to figure out why my dropdown had two spots available and filtered my gallery correctly, but I couldn't read the values.

It was driving me bonkers, so I threw in a classic dropdown on a whim and alas, my values are legible.

Why is this?  What am I missing with the new dropdowns?  What am I not seeing?  I've wasted quite a bit of time thinking that I was not correct in my formula.  Turns out it was the input control which is frustrating.  Thanks in advance.

Did you look at the setting for what is set to be viewed in the Dropdown? its possible its default was to pick something that was not visible (as in blank data). If the column has no data it will look like that.

I did, yes.  I'd removed the other fields and only that one remained.  I've also added a single column collection to a new dropdown and again it's blank.  no errors in my formula of collection.value.  I have the slots for each item, the appropriate amount of them, but no text.

Unfortunately, I am not available to reproduce this.

What version of the Studio do you have?

have you tried turning of the New Analysis Engine?
