the new Mobile-Offline profile in Model-Driven

Hi,

In the latest updates for Mobile offline profile for a Model-Driven app, I noticed that the switch to turn on/off this capability has been removed, and once the app completes the data download, it switches automatically into Offline-mode (while the device is still connected to the internet), which disables lots of actions especially Flows!

this is not practical (not sure if it is a bug), we need to switch on/off manually, or when the app detects offline/online status of the device.

regards,

Mohammad

    Hi @malkhawaja ,

I did a test for you. I created a model driven app in powerapps.

When I enter the app for the first time, it prompts me to download.

When my device has no internet, it will automatically switch to offline mode.

When my device has internet, it will automatically switch to online mode and perform the operation when offline.

    Best Regards,

Hi @v-xiaochen-msft ... I am not sure if I explained my self clear enough,

the problem is that is automatically switches to offline mode while my device is still connected to internet... i.e.: the first time I open the app it starts downloading (during this period the app acts in online mode (check 1st screenshot) but as soon as it finishes the download it switched to offline mode despite the fact that my device is still connected to internet. (check 2nd screenshot)

    Hi @malkhawaja ,

In my model driven mobile app, I have a button to turn on or turn off the offline function. Please see the images below.

    Could you find the setting?

If you can’t find this setting, it may be the reason for the regional update.

You could submit a support ticket here.

well it seems a bug, or "new Mobile-Offline functionality" related to the new Model-driven app designer which is still under public preview... I opened a support ticket for the issue, and we will see what will happen next.
