Development vs Release Builds

It seems that msbuild is always running a development build regardless if I specifiy managed or both. Is this by design?

npm run build -- --noColor --buildmode development --outDir C:\pros-projects\dynamics_cpq\PROS.Qtx\PROS.Qtx.PCF.CLI.C
ontrols\QuoteSteps\out\controls\\

> pcf-project@1.0.0 build C:\pros-projects\dynamics_cpq\PROS.Qtx\PROS.Qtx.PCF.CLI.Controls\QuoteSteps
> pcf-scripts build "--noColor" "--buildmode" "development" "--outDir" "C:\pros-projects\dynamics_cpq\PROS.Qtx\PROS.Q
tx.PCF.CLI.Controls\QuoteSteps\out\controls\\"

    Hi,

To issue a production build, you can set the msbuild configuration to Release.  For example:

    msbuild /p:configuration=Release
