JS to populate value in QuickCreate from subgrid when reference field is a lookup to another table

Because of the above situation, mapping doesn't work.
  • Parent form field value is ppt_sitename which is a lookup to Account Name from the Account table.
  • Subgrid is: subgrid_pickupdata
  • Entity name that subgrid is based on: ppt_pickupdata
  • Field name to be populated in Quick Create form is also: ppt_sitename (which is also a lookup to Account Name from the Account table)
Assuming it should it fire on load of the quick create form?

    Hi,
     
    You should try relationship mapping to automatically populate the value in the Quick Create form from the subgrid.
     
    If the mapping is correctly set up between the entities, the lookup field should carry over the value without needing custom JavaScript.
