Trying to create column in a table to have a url to the record. I have done this for several other tables so I can have a quick link to the record when I create a powerbi dashboard.

Today I am no longer able to use the same method.

The message I am getting is

Not supported in formula columns

    Hello,

Which table are you trying to add that field to?

    Hi @Medster ,

I have tried this as well and unable to accomplish, same error.  I had not tried this before so can't help with if it worked in the past.

    Hello,

I understand that this approach might be a little conservative but you can use RealTime workflow to populate the field using Dynamic Record Url. Usecase - https://softchief.com/2023/06/02/use-record-url-in-email-using-workflow-dynamics-365-power-apps/

The difference that you will have to update the current record.

One of the tables I'm using in dynamics sales for my organization, specifically for client visit reports. I have done the same thing on 3 other tables in my organizations dynamics (both field and sales) with no issues but that was done a few months ago.

How exactly would I create a flow to update the record ? this needs to be done for both new records and run once for all existing records.

    Hello,

I did not recommend Flow. I suggested using Workflow. In order to process new records you will have to add "Create" trigger. In order to backfill existing records you will have to choose "on-demand" option as well and run "on-demand" workflow against existing records.
