Modern Table - Issues with filtering

Hi All,

I have a modern table within an app and I'm using a dropdown to filter the data. The problem I'm experiencing is that when you cycle through the options within the dropdown, the table doesn't always clear the previous filtered data.

I have two filter options - free text and a drop down

Table [Items]
Filter(
    BSc_OB_DS,
    Status.Value = "Active" && Year.Value = "Year 1" && University.Value = DropdownCanvas1.Selected.Value && (IsBlank(txt_search_1.Text) || StartsWith(
        Title,
        txt_search_1.Text
    ) || StartsWith(
        Surname,
        txt_search_1.Text
   ) || StartsWith(
        'EEAST ID',
        txt_search_1.Text
    ))
)
Can anyone make any suggestions on how I fix this issue?

    Create a Button, call it btnClearFilters. (Alway rename any controls that are referenced in code.)

    In the OnSelect, set all of the search controls to blank (or ""), or some default search criteria.
    Ensure that the clearing really works.

    This will help you troubleshoot what isn't resetting.

    I have a button with Reset( for my txt and dropdown, but all that does is display the NoData message over the top of the previous filtered data.

    The only work around I have found that works (for me) on a large data set, is to use the OnChange property of the dropdown and use Refresh(datasource)

    Having searched a little more, it seems other people are reporting this problem when filtering large amounts of data - seems to be a bug.

    You could abandon the reactive nature of your current Filter / Sort, and make it active by populating a collection with the data to display, filtered in the manner you desire.

    So, the user makes their criteria and sorting selections, then clicks a button to execute the Filter / Sort. Then use ClearCollect(), Filter(), and SortByColumns() to manipulate the data into a collection, and then use that collection in the Table.Items.
