AB testing and safe update release

Hi colleagues,
I am researching MS Copilot Studio opportunities and have a question about update process for already existing copilot.
Is there an opportunity for AB testing for such case or what would you recommend to use when you want to make sure that planned update will not break existing functionality?
I saw an introduction for automation testing with Copilot Studio (https://www.flowjoe.io/2023/12/13/an-introduction-to-automation-testing-with-copilot-studio/), but it looks like I can run these tests only for bot that is already published (and available for users?).
What is the general approach for safe release process for existing copilot update?

When thinking about changes to production and ALM in general, we recommend following Power Platform ALM principles. See slide #64 and onwards in the implementation guide for a more detailed explanation and additional resources.
