3D Models - How do you use multiple files? ie Textures?

I'm not seeing a ton of info on Google about this, hoping the community has some experience.

I have set up a system for users to upload 3D model files via editform attachment to a Sharepoint list. The issue I'm finding is that many 3D models use multiple files to make the final product, ie texture .jpeg's in addition to the .glb/.obj file. Some of my .obj files are half transparent because texture images would have filled it in.

How do I get the 3D model view control to use multiple files if a particular 3D object requires it?

Reading the MS Docs is seems that jpeg file format isn't supported.

    Important

Your 3D content must be in the .glb, .obj, or .stl file formats. You can convert your existing 3D models into the .glb file format from a variety of 3D formats.

I guess this means the fix is to have your users convert files to .glb first then upload to SP? Daniel Christian also has some tips on using Paint 3D here.
