Removing image file from Excel data source?

Can anyone help me with removing images from an Excel data source?

I have tried using RemoveIf(ExcelDataSource, condition), but it only removes the row in the spreadsheet, it does not actually remove the image file in the images sub-directory.

I have searched around but not found any mention of this so far..  Thank you.

This is not possible.  You can neither add images nor remove images from an Excel datasource.  There is no workaround.

Instead you should store pictures in another location such as OneDrive.  Then you can store the web address where the image is located within the Excel spreadsheet, adding and deleting as necessary.  Images stored in OneDrive can be shown by placing the web address in the Image property of an Image control.

Thank you for the quick response! I see that I was not very good at explaining my situation, my apologies. I am using Onedrive, with an excel spreadsheet to store the images per this example: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/add-images-pictures-audio-video That part works great, except the Remove function only removes the row with the "path to image" out of the excel but it does not actually remove the image file out of the subdirectory.  I am not very good at Automate and was hoping there was a way to remove them as easy as it is to put them in!

    Thank you again!

Thank you for clarifying.  Yes, Power Automate is the likely solution here.  You could trigger a flow from Power Apps that gets the image based on the URL in your excel spreadsheet and then deletes it from OneDrive using this connector (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/onedrive/)

I'm not setup to show you how to build the flow.  But the general steps would be:

    1.  Trigger - Power Apps

    2.  OneDrive - Get file content using path

    3.  OneDrive - Delete file (using id from get file step)

I'm sure if you give it a try in Flow you'll figure it out!
