Assistance Required: Error Code "AccessToBotDenied" When Logging into Copilot Studio Bot

Hello Community,  I am seeking assistance with an issue I encountered while trying to log into the Copilot Studio bot. Upon attempting to access the bot, I received the following error message:  "Sorry, something unexpected happened. We’re looking into it. Error code: AccessToBotDenied."
 
 
Could someone please assist me in resolving this issue? Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Troubleshooting Steps for "AccessToBotDenied" Error
    Check for Updates: 
    • check that your Copilot Studio is up-to-date. New updates often fix known issues that could be causing such errors.
    Check Bot Status:
    • Verify if the bot is operational. Sometimes, the bot might be down for maintenance or experiencing issues. Check for any service announcements or status updates from the provider.
    Browser Compatibility:
    • check you are using a compatible web browser. Sometimes, specific browsers or versions may cause compatibility issues. Try accessing the bot using a different browser or updating your current one.
    OpenID and Profile Permissions:
    • Make sure to delegate the openid and profile under OpenId permissions. This step is often overlooked but is essential for proper authentication.
    Review Permissions:
    • Double-check the bot’s permissions in Azure Active Directory. It’s crucial to ensure that the bot has the correct permissions set.
    Admin Consent:
    • Check and Verify that admin consent has been granted for the required API permissions. Without admin consent, regular users may encounter access issues.
    Security Settings:
    In Copilot Studio,

    App Registration:
    • If you’re embedding the Copilot Studio in another application, such as a Canvas App, ensure that the App registration is set up correctly.
    Clear Cache and Cookies:
    Clear your browser's cache and cookies. Sometimes, stored data can cause conflicts when accessing certain web services. 
    Steps to clear cache and cookies (for common browsers like Bing /chrome):
    • Click on the three-dot menu at the top-right corner.
    • Go to 'Settings'.
    • Scroll down to 'Privacy and security'.
    • Click on 'Clear browsing data'.
    • Select 'Cookies and other site data' and 'Cached images and files'.
    • Click 'Clear data'.

    I just started experiencing this today with my copilot studio bot as well, although it was working yesterday for the same account! 
     
    I had to share the bot with the account and issue resolved .

    The user is part of my tenant but not a part of that selected environment in which the copilot is . Is that causing any issues ?

    Just to double check. With not part of the environment do you mean guest users or external users? Can you clarify that part of your setup?

    Hi , 
    I confirm that I am using AAD for authentication and I have followed all the steps . The issue is if any user is not part of the env , the bot is then the following error occurs .

    Hi,
     
    Just to double check, which Identity provider did you use to setup user authentication? Did you use Entra Id or did you use a different Identity provider like Google or Facebook?
     
    If it is Entra Id, did you follow the steps in the doc below:
