I recently purchased a Power Apps per app license so my coworker could access an app that uses Dataverse tables. I followed what I thought were the right steps:
- Moved the solution (with the app and Dataverse tables) into a Sandbox environment.
- Verified the environment is ready and the app is shared.
However, I’ve hit a wall:
I cannot find any option to allocate the newly bought per app license to my coworker. I’ve checked both the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and the Power Platform admin center, but the instructions I’ve found (including those from Copilot) don’t seem to match what I see in the UI.
- In Microsoft 365 Admin Center, the license doesn’t appear under the user’s license options.
- In Power Platform admin center, I don’t see the Capacity → Add-ons section in the Sandbox environment.
At this point, I’m wondering if the license I purchased is capacity-based rather than user-based, or if there’s a missing step to make it visible for assignment.
Has anyone successfully allocated a Power Apps per app license after moving a solution to a Sandbox environment?
What’s the exact process to make this work so my coworker can use the app?
Any guidance or screenshots would be greatly appreciated!
