Power Automate (Flow) CDS Trigger When Record is Created or Updated

I can't find a CDS trigger in Flow equivalent to the SharePoint ‘When an item is created or modified’ trigger.

Can I just use two separate triggers i.e. When a record is created AND When a record is updated?

I need to reference the ID and Name of the created or updated record later in the Flow. Can I just reference both and one will win out as it were? Or is there a better method of doing this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Digital

I think you might be looking at the wrong CDS connector.  There are two of them.  Make sure that you are using the CDS connector called Common Data Service (current environment).  This has the trigger that you are looking for.

    Hi @HSheild

Thanks for the reply. I don't get an option for Common Data Service (current environment).

Do you think this is because my entities are created in PowerApps?

    Hi @Digital

    Of course, you can.

    Snipaste_2020-03-26_16-20-41.png

There are two Common Data Service connectors in Power Automate

    1.Common Data Service
    2.Common Data Service ( Current Environment )

The latter supports multiple triggers, and you can choose Create or Update trigger condition.

If you are not able to find Common Data Service ( Current Environment ) connector, you might be creating Power Automate outside of CDS solution.

Common Data Service ( Current Environment ) connector is only available inside of CDS solution, so you should first enter the solution, and then click New-Flow to create a flow inside the solution.

    Hope this helps.

    Sik

@v-siky-msft , great help thank you! I wasn't creating the Flows from within Solution in CDS.
