basic setup not working in teams channel and group chat?

Ensure the bot has the necessary Graph API permissions to access user data and conversations in group chats or channels.
I assumed using "Authenticate with Microsoft" would handle this for me. I think this is where the issue is so I'll try manual auth and see how that goes but it is very unfortunate.
Reassign the Teams setup policy and ensure that it's configured for channels and group chats.
Checked this and everything is correct.
Track any errors or blocked actions occurring in the different contexts (channel, group chat).
I am tracking with application insights.
To prevent issues related to multiple instances, make sure to clear out previous versions of the Copilot from Teams.
I tried to do this as much as I could but caching and delays on the Microsoft side are terrible.
Check channel settings to ensure bots are enabled, and that users in the channel have access to the Copilot.
