Reset Power BI filters after PowerApps update

Hi the group,

I have created a Power BI dashboard with many tables to visualize the tracking of goods.

The more you apply filters and the less you have have goods visible (that's logic).

Once the user has selected the number of item he wants, I have create a PowerApps canvas to update the database with comments and remarks. Like that, the apps can update the status for one or more goods.

So everything works but I would like to refresh my Power BI report after the update. Because when the update is done, only the last filter (the one updated) is still visible.

Not really professional.

Any clue to solve this ?

Hi @FredLEGUEN ,

Do you want to refresh your Power BI report when then changes (e.g. Comments, remarks) made to your data source through the embedded canvas app?

Further, do you add a PowerApps Custom Visual within your Power BI report?

Currently, there are some known limits with the PowerApps Custom Visual in Power BI report. The PowerApps custom visual can't trigger a refresh of the Power BI report or Power BI data source. If you write back data from the app to the same data source as the report, your changes won't be reflected immediately. Changes are reflected on the next scheduled refresh.

In other words, the refresh of your Power BI report is based on the Schedule refresh setting you specified in your Power BI data set.

As an alternative solution, you could configure the Schedule refresh for your dataset in your Power BI in a low frequency or turn on the "OneDrive refresh" option to make your dateset keep up to date. You could also consider refresh your Power BI report manually.
