Dropdown List in IE shows the font way too big

Hi All,

When using Chrome or MS Edge, dropdown lists are the same font as the default, but in IE, the unexpanded dropdown is the right font but when you expand it to show the list, the font is huge... see screen shot attached.  This wasn't always the case ,as the dropdown lists used to work fine.  Is this a PowerApps version thing?

Thanks for any help.

Anyone else experiencing this in IE?  How can items in the expanded list be a different font size than the field when the list is not expanded?  We've had an app out there for a couple months and this just recently showed up.  The users are unable to see the complete value of the items in the expanded list because the font is too large.

    Hi @TML,

Which version of your Internet Explorer browser?

I have made a test (Internet Explorer 11), and the issue is confirmed on my side. The screenshot as below:13.JPG

I think this issue is related to the rendering within Internet explorer 11.

As an alternative solution, please take a try to turn off/disable the "Improved app rendering (final validation)" option within the Advanced settings of App settings, then check if the issue is solved.14.JPG

In addition, please also make sure your Internet Explorer 11 browser has turned off the "Compatibility View" option.

More details about turning off the "Compatibility View" option for Internet Explorer 11 browser, please check the following article:

    Best regards,

    Kris

    Hi @v-xida-msft,

I am using IE11 (see attached). I also tried with Improved App Rendering disabled and with compatibility mode off in IE and it still shows the same way.

same problem with my app- company uses IE by default so this will be a problem for all my users...

EDIT- can confirm the issue doesn't come up in Chrome, and that the proposed solution does not work.

    Hello,

This is a known issue with scaling of the dropdown if IE. One way to work around it near-term is to use a Combobox instead of a Dropdown control. Is that possible for you?

I'm having the same issue. are there plans to actually fix this or do we have to just rework the app?

@dbro, if you must use IE, you can switch your drop downs to a combo box instead.

There are better browsers out there. I'm currently using Microsoft Edge:

We use IE in our environment, else i would love to use edge. the reality is most large organizations have to support multiple browsers....
