Hello all.
I receive an email from a co-worker every single day. He attaches an excel file. I need to take all the excel files from email, and put all data into one excel file. Is there a workflow perform this?
Power automate. You can filter on the co-worker and other information that is typical for his excel email. Than a for each on the rows of the attachment and add a new row to an existing one. Another way is to save all the items in one location and use power query to make it into one table. It’s up to you and which version you feel most comfortable with
Thank you for your response.
I think I need to do the first method because I receive the email daily, so it needs to be automatically adding new data to excel table.
Would it work if I receive an email, and in the email excel sheet is attached in other attached email. So, basically, the co-worker is just forwarding me emails he is receiving.
Thank you
Haha what a lovely process. That is probably a bit trickier because it is an attachment within an attachment. I think the easiest way would be to ask your co-worker to send excel files directly
To be honest, I am struggling even with just downloading the files. Ufff.
Is this process would be easier any other way, maybe with code in VBA?
Thank you for your reply!
I think Power Automate would be a good way for you. If you would first ask the person to send the file in excel. That makes it all a bit easier. If not, I give it a try tomorrow.
