Add Rest endpoint custom connector as an Action

I have a very simple Azure Function rest endpoint I've created to test with CoPilot Studio actions.

I added the new custom connection via the wizard and select "New REST API". I satisfy all the requirements and the custom connector is created.

I search for my custom connection and select an action. It comes back and shows that it's a valid connection. I then push the next button and the wizard hangs indefinitely on a spinner. No errors no failures it just never completes.

I rigged up a quick flow to use my custom connection and it works fine there.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to diagnose why I can't add a copilot action?

Thanks,

Blair

The issues seems releated to the definition within the custom connector created.

If the path and the operationId don't match exactly then adding an action fails in copilot studio UI. If I update the operationId to match exactly the name and case of the path I am able to add the action.

    Hey Artur,

I left it running over night and it still hasn't completed. It feels like it's failed but the UI isn't reflecting this. Maybe a bug.

I'm trying to get comfortable with Copilot and copilot extensions. With the ultimate goal of building one that connects to internal REST endpoints. Is this not the correct approach?

    Thanks,

    Hello Blair,

it's probably not done yet, that's why it's not working. Why not using HTTP request to call the function?

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

    Best regards,
