How to create a custom page combobox with an option set?

I have a combobox that I want to display the option set text as my choices.  The formula I'm using is Choices('column_name').  I'm getting the correct number of options, but the displayed text for the combobox options are numbers (these numbers are not the values of each option set value).  How do I populate my combobox?

    Hi @z_mike_90 ,

Could you please share more details about your scenario? How's the setup of this Choices data?

I made a test with one of my Choices, which is displaying correct values:

My scenario is just like that.  What was the formula you used in your combobox?

    Hi @z_mike_90 ,

Items of the Combo box is exact the same as yours. But I know the issue now. In Custom pages, it is a fluent UI Combo box, which will have no display field set by default when adding to screen. Please add a display field and select Value for the Combo box:

This is what I see when I edit my combobox:licensecategory.png

Are you telling me to create a new dataverse field for to display the option set?  Also, where is this documented?  I've looked at the Microsoft documentation and didn't see this.

    Hi @z_mike_90 ,

I'm not asking you to create a new column, just try and select another field from the "add field" button. I have selected Value field to display in the Combo box.

Selecting another field is not a solution.  I'm asking for clarification on what you mean.  Are you implying that I can't display the option set in a combobox for Custom Pages?

    Hi @z_mike_90 ,

When adding a Combo box on custom page, the Combo box is displaying numbers:

Select Edit fields, the default display field is blank

Select Add field, there is a "Value" field, you can try and see if you have other fields could be checked, check it and select Add to see the result:

Now the Combo box is displaying correct selections as its setup:

I'll use another example to show my steps:

    1. I want to display the statuscode option set in a combobox:

    part1.png

    2.  I add the statuscode field to my combobox:

    part2.png

    3.  This is the result:

    part3.png

I get a list of all the records with displaying the status.  That isn't what I want.  I just want to show the option set labels "Active" and "Inactive" in the dropdown instead of a list of all records.  What am I missing that I can't display that?

    Hi @z_mike_90 ,

I believe Items of the Combo box that's not Choices(Status) now, maybe set to the table?

That is correct.  The data type is table.  What would be the syntax for the dropdown to get the field's label?
