Hi @samikshashetty ,
Common Data Service or CDS is a storage space that enables a user to manage and securely store data that’s used by multiple applications, it is the cloud-based and secure storage solution.
So, the CDS entity or Data is stored in the cloud service, and we cannot choose where to store the data.
For more information, please check this article: What is the Common Data Service Used in Apps?
Best regards,
Sik
As per the pervious post, CDS data is necessarily stored in the cloud, in one of the Microsoft Data Centres. You can choose which geographical region this should be in; these is determined when you commission the tenant. You can ask for this to be changed afterwards, but I think you need to request this via Microsoft Support
Can we access CDS data directly instead of powerapps?.. Is there any alternative to access cds , completely replacing powerapps?
Except PowerApps Canvas apps, Model-driven apps and Portals, Dynamics 365 applications, such as Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service or Dynamics 365 Talent, also use the Common Data Service to store and secure data used by the applications.
