Greetings.
I have a M365 E3 customer and we're building some simple Canvas Apps leveraging standard connectors (SharePoint, Outlook, etc...) and no use of Dataverse. Based on what I can find in the Power Platform Licensing Guide, we should be fine to build those apps and build flows into those apps using their E3 licenses as long as we stick to standard connectors.

The only thing giving our team pause is this "answer" given in the Power Automate FAQ on Microsoft Learn:
Frequently asked questions about Power Automate licensing - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn
- If the flow is in context of Power Apps or Dynamics 365 apps, and is an automated flow, the flow must be associated to the app created using Power Apps or Dynamics 365 app and owner needs Power Apps Premium license, or a Dynamics 365 license.
- If the flow is in context of a Power Apps or Dynamics 365 apps, and is an instant flow, every user running the flow needs Power Apps Premium license, or a Dynamics 365 license.
I read that as being a reiteration of the entitlements in the licensing guide around Power Automate entitlements in Power Apps Premium and Dynamics 365 subscriptions (Flows that use the same premium connectors have to be in the context of the app) and not as an indication that Flows running in the context of our Canvas App (standard connectors, no Dataverse) require Premium licensing simply because they're being called by an App and not by a button on something like a SharePoint List. However, the use of "app created using Power Apps" in the FAQ is pretty broad (a Canvas app using standard connectors is still technically a Power App). The line right above those two specifically says that if the flow doesn't use a premium connector, then you don't need a premium license, but it isn't talking about a Flow being run from an App.
Just curious if anyone here has any expertise or personal experience in that nuance. The licensing guide seems pretty clear, but just wanted to be as sure as possible.
Thanks!
