Text Input Control Not Actually Blank in Production

Hi Everyone,

I have been using a Text Input control to do a Project Search in my app for awhile now and in past apps. Just recently, the control during my production app has started acting as it there is something in the textbox but shows no value or even a space. It shows as blank but filters my gallery.

In the screenshot, this is how the product app looks. The reset button is supposed to be hidden unless there is text inside of the control. I have a whole bunch of filters that all run on this logic as well. The "Placeholder" text is as you can see there and the "Value" of the control is just quotes "".

When I am in the studio designer, I don't see this issue and everything functions as normal.

@mjshaw90 - this sounds very strange. Perhaps you could try re-publishing your app to see if that helps?

Hi @timl, thanks for the quick response. I have tried to republish the app a few times as I am still making changes to other screens of my app. I have also tried to swap it over to Blank( ) instead of just quotes. Different Power FX formulas for filtering my gallery but still nothing. There was a point where I had this text input on 3 different screens and only 2 of the 3 input controls were having issues. Then today I received a message that this third one wasn't working.
The latest thing I tried this morning was to just switch over to the class input control and that works perfectly fine.

Thanks for the update @mjshaw90 - the modern controls are buggy so I would put this down to a quirk of their behaviour.
