How to add more than one attachment field in an Entity Form

Hi,
I have a requirement to have 10 sections/tabs on an Entity form in PowerApps Web Portal where each section/tab area will have an attachment field under it.

So, in other words, the requirements is to collect/capture 10 attachments on that form from different parts of the form. I have tried setting up the entity form with attachment option but could only add one attachment field from the configuration side.

Can more than 1 attachment field be added on the Entity Form in PowerApps Portal as I don’t think its even possible?

I would appreciate if someone can suggest a solution as this is a big blocker for the Portal work that I am doing where there is a need to collect different attachments on a big/lengthy form under its different sections.

Thanks in advance,

AR

If I understand your requirement correctly you want to get more them on attachment on different div, If not done yet, you can handle this using JQuery and can render the attachment buttons more then one time.

    Hi @AR19 ,

Well the only option to delete file would be to render a Note control (you can add it through Web Form Metadata, on the Web Form Step it might be hidden so check Related tab and you can find it there) (you can find more about Note control here). There is however a catch - it will show you all added files, not just the file that was added on the specific step and, unfortunately, there is no built-in filtering for notes.

    Thanks for reply.

So if I understand clearly then this new FILE type once in GA will stil NOT be there for PowerApps  Portal but for Canvas app only. If that's the case its not helping much here.

For the 2nd solution, I tried that and it seems to let me add the attachment (i.e note) field on each step however there seems to be another issue.  If I choose any file to upload and select it and move to the next step but then I realise that I selected a wrong file and press previous to get back to the first step then there is no option to remove the first selected file. Is there any way to show a delete option to remove the previously selected files and upload new file?

    Thanks

Re: How to add more than one attachment field in an Entity Form

    Hi @AR19 ,

Attachment in CDS is a separate entity called Notes and because of this, you cannot have multiple attachment fields. There is a new "File" type field, which is specifically designed to hold files as a field, but it is in the pre-release stage and it is not available for the PowerApps Portal (to find out more about this type of the field check this official doc).

One of the options that you can use is to create a Web Form. Web Form supports multiple Web Form Steps and for each step, you can configure file attachment, which should render attach file button. If you will use the same entity on all Web Form Step attachments that will be created will be associated with the same entity.

    Hope this will help.
