Use a button to patch a value to a SharePoint List

Hi,
I have a gallery to view different items from a SharePoint list. The employees can fill out and edit forms inside different screens. On the general overview gallery, I want to add a button to highlight an item.
I've built a column inside of my SharePoint list with a checkbox. I want to patch the correct value to this column so the item that is currently viewed is highlighted. The highlighted part is already built.

I tried different formulas but none of them worked. How can I fix this?

did u already have any patch code with error messages or so? if yes share too using the "Insert code snippet" icon.

    thanks

    Hi

You said the highlight part is already built, so does that mean its actually highlighted by the CheckBox is not checked?

Or are you saying you have code in the Template property so that "if" the checkbox is set to checked, then it will make the highlight text work?

    Not enough clarity.

If they have the galleries OnSelect patch the back end and then refresh and have it be selected.
