We have created an app with multiple screens. Each screen represents different aspects of the app and we navigate to them via tabs at the top of the of the screen (see attached photo). Is there a way to have one tab toolbar for multiple screens? Currently I have them simply copied over to each screen and name specifically for that screen - so basically I have seven different tab bars. Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Currently this is not possible in PowerApps; there's a feature request in the PowerApps Ideas Board that you can vote up to increase the priority of the feature to the product team.
At this point, what you're doing (copying the controls over multiple pages) is the way to do it.
Thanks for the quick reply.
You can "sort of" do this. My daughter used the approach documented by @Audrie-MSFT here:
This approahces entails using a collection to store base configuration and a context variable to store information about which screen is open at any given time.
While each screen requires a gallery and associated controls to display the data in the collection, at least the configuration. As I happen to be putting a slide deck together about this app, I have pasted an example of how it looks, as well as the underlying config... But refer to Audrie's article first...
