Knowledge Base for my AI Agent/Bot

Hello,

I'm trying to see how feasible it is to develop an internal AI Agent for compliance control testing. I've built a bot to do some light control testing within Copilot Studio, however, I'm running into issues when I add dummy files to the knowledge source. The status of the file uploads say "blocked" and "Not allowed due to your organization's data loss prevention policies ....". Note that the files are dummy files for testing purposes only and sensitivity of these dummy files have been set to "general". Curious why I can't upload these source dummy files to test if my agent works. Refer to image attached. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

    Hello @AB-28082118-0,

Although they are dummy data the DLP policies in your organization restrict to upload any data in the copilot studio.

I would suggest a workaround, instead create a SharePoint site upload the files over there and pass the SharePoint link as knowledge source in Copilot Studio.

I tried building a new sharepoint site with sensitivity of the site labeled as "general". I uploaded the dummy files to this new site and changed the knowledge source of my agent in copilot studio to this new sharepoint site. I still receive the same error message even though all sensitivity labels are "general". Refer to image attached.

I see so they have blocked uploading of any site and documents through use of DLP and sometimes even “General” sensitivity sometimes still enforces hidden restrictions because of DLP.

If your company has users/client secretive data this is the reason they would have done so.

Now , there are ways to override from Purview where you to have search for Copilot Studio and whitelist them but I wont recommend. I would suggest taking this up with governance team of your organization.

    Thanks, @

Not sure if it's helpful but I am internal Microsoft. I'll continue to dig around and see if this functionality is turned off org-wide or just our group/function.
