Identification of Gallery types added

Primarily there are three types of galleries: Vertical, Horizontal and Flexible height...

 

For the first two types (at least), after you have added the control, is there anyway to identify if it was a Vertical gallery, or a Horizontal gallery that was added ?

 

Also, is there any way to change the behaviour of ie. a Vertical gallery so that it becomes a Horizontal gallery ?

    I suggest you name them hGallery1 or flexGallery1 at the time you add them as there is no other way to distinguish between them.  I don't believe you can change a vertical gallery to behave as a horizontal one but I may be wrong.
