Using Load Data and Save Data with Windows 11 devices when working Offline

I have seen an article -> Power Apps SaveData: Cool Cookies! - hiredgun.tech which says that Load Data and Save Data do not work on Windows 11 Devices but only on Apple devices and Android devices.

Is this correct ? and therefore can I only use Dataverse tables when on Windows 11 devices ?

Is there a PowerApps statement which I can use to determine what type of device I am on so I know when to use Data Verse Tables and when to use Load Data / Save Data.

So presumably I will need a dataverse table containing all of the users and the roles they are allowed to use.

On the Windows 11 devices I am using the PowerApps Application, syncing the PowerApp Application with a published PowerApp solution so I have an installed PowerApp on my Laptop. I can then pull the ethernet cable out, switch the wifi off and run the PowerApp in Offline mode.

Dataverse offline is easier to implement than using SaveData and LoadData but your app must be using Dataverse

It never got out of the experimental stage for web that's why they recommend the Dataverse approach for offline storage support.
