SaveData, LoadData, and ClearData functions in a web browser

Am I missing something or is it not possible to test this feature without publishing it?

Using the "Preview the app (F5)" function, I tried to do a ClearData step first (to clear anything that might already be there) but got the following error message:

There was a problem clearing your data. Data cannot be cleared when running in a web browser.

So then I removed that for testing and went straight to trying a SaveData step. Unfortunately, this gave me a similar error message:

There was a problem saving your data. Data cannot be saved when running in a web browser.

I've got the experimental feature turned ON. I did end up testing by publishing first, but this isn't ideal.
