Launching a browser to open local PDF file ??

OK  I know Power Apps is in the cloud and as such is not setup to access local files .... however,  there has got to be a way to open a browser and force it to open "File://MyLocalServer/MyShare/MyReport.pdf".   This works great if I paste that in my browser but  this:
Launch("File://MyLocalServer\MyShare\MyReport.pdf")  tells me to pound sand.  Is there not a way to ask it to launch the browser and then pass the location as a parameter?  And yes I understand this will only work when I have access to the share.

If I host them from the local server then is there a way to pass login information from the app?  I've got thousands of PDF files that I just need to link to and would prefer not to upload all to OneDrive etc.   How is this done.

Any help appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi @nhale ,

Power Apps is a cloud-based service, the only access you have to local or network drives is for uploading files for attachments and Add Picture controls, or if you were using an SQL gateway for a local SQL server.

Did you ever find a way to open a local file in the browser?  Or a directory listing (that would be ideal).

I think that this video may be able to help you get local files attached...
