Initialize variable problems

I am trying to initialize a field in sharepoint everytime a file is created but can’t get it to work (see screenshot).

What I want to achieve is when a flow gets approved the managed can comment on the flow.

I want to initialize the variable so I can fill out fields in sharepoint.

If I make a manual update button it works but I am trying to automate this process.

Many thanks in advance.

    Hi ,

Power Automate not allowed to initialize the variable inside the ApplyEach Step.

So after the Trigger Point, you can Initialize the variable and Set the Value where ever you want.

    Hello,

I know, but when I select the SharePoint field it automatically goes into a apply to each.

    Hi ,

Initialize variable as a blank value.

and Use SetVariable to assign SharePoint value.

    Please check the screenshot.
