Timer Control is not Accurate for MS

So, I've been trying to make a smooth animation, increasing the length of a rectangle using the milliseconds of a timer. The problem is that the timer updates its value every second, not every millisecond, so the animation looks lagged. I've seen multiple tutorials and looked for a solution, but it seems like no one had this problem before. I need help.

PD: I followed the tutorial's steps, but as I said, the problem is my timer control, here is the tutorial I'm talking about

Can you confirm that you've correctly set the Duration property of the timer control?

The timer control does not update its value every second. Set a label's text value to Timer1.Value and then start the timer. You will see the label change by the millisecond. I use this in a few apps to animate.
To have something get larger from 0 to a desired width:
DesiredWidth * (Timer1.Value/Timer1.Duration)
To have something get smaller:
DesiredWidth * (1-Timer1.Value/Timer1.Duration)

I had the same problem.

I found this note in the documentation: "In Power Apps Studio, timers run only in Preview mode."

When running the app with the "play" button, it works fine. And after that it was fast in Power Apps Studio while editing and testing the app as well.
