HI ,

I'm facing the issue in the dropdown Think like i have a datasource have sales data following fields (SKU_ID,Region,Date,Category,Sales_Value,Sale_Qty) . the dataset size is more then 2 lakhs of records . while doing the dropdown data point from PowerBIIntergration not showing up all the data whatever i saw in the report . if I have 140 SKU in my list if i select the region in the power bi it is showing less SKU but the region have more SKU in place .

Guys help to handle how to solve this issue.

I'm Using Direct Query in the Power BI . and Power Apps App included in that file . Both Dropdown as well as Data from Same Datasource.

    Hi @ganesan_30r ,

When using Power BI to Power Apps integration, especially with large datasets and DirectQuery, there are a few potential limitations and workarounds to consider:

    1. Limitation of Data: Power BI integration with Power Apps may have limitations on the amount of data it can pass at one time. This could be why not all records are showing in the dropdown.

    2. Filtering in Power Apps: Ensure that the filtering logic within Power Apps is correctly set up to display all relevant data based on the selection in Power BI.

    3. Delegation Warnings: With large datasets, be mindful of delegation warnings in Power Apps. Some functions cannot process large records on the server side and may only process the first 500 or 2000 records, depending on your app’s settings.

    4. Optimize Power BI Report: Within Power BI, ensure that any filters or slicers that could be affecting the displayed data are correctly configured.

To handle large datasets effectively, consider the following:

    • Increase Data Row Limit: In Power Apps, go to App settings > Advanced settings, and increase the "Data row limit for non-delegable queries" to the maximum possible. However, this could impact app performance.

    • Improve Data Model: Optimize your Power BI data model for DirectQuery to ensure efficient data retrieval.

    • Reduce Dataset: If possible, filter the dataset within Power BI to reduce the number of records that need to be passed to Power Apps.

    • Use Collections: In Power Apps, use a collection to store the data you need from Power BI, which may help with performance.

    • Validate Relationships: Make sure that the relationships in the data model are properly set to associate SKUs with the right regions.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft support or consulting Power BI and Power Apps documentation on handling large datasets with DirectQuery.
    Best Regards,
    Hassan Raza
