Hello All

We have a PowerApp responsible to create an appointment in Dynamics 365 CRM. I am struggling to show From and To field from Appointment and of course later save them. From and To field in Dynamics 365 are of special type called Activity Party and can have more than one value. Can someone help me out on this.

    Hi @dpelluru,

For Activity Party type, the supported one under Appointment is the floowing:

    OptionalAttendee
    Organizer
    RequiredAttendee

    Reference: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg328549.aspx

So could you please share more information about the From and the To field?

If possible, it would be better for you to share a screenshot of the field mentioned.

I will then take a further look and see if I can offer any further assistance.

One thing to remind is, multiple values may not be supported under PowerApps, currently.

    Regards,

    Michael

    Thanks @v-micsh-msft for your reply.

I have added appointment entity from Dynamics 365 to my data source in Power Apps. But the three fields you mentioned are not visible in data source hence I am not able to add them to either display or edit form. Any resolution for this.

The party type fields like Required, Optional and Regarding need some additional logic in order to get the information to show in PowerApps.  If you have Appointments in a gallery you could use something like ThisItem._regardingobjectid_type and ThisItem._regardingobjectid_value to find out what entity this is coming from and what the ID is of that object.  Once you do that you can do a lookup to get the record from the entity based on the ID.  Let me know if this helps.

    Hi Evan

I understand your comment on the Regarding field. But regarding field is totally different than From/To/Required/Optional/Sender etc activity party fields. I can't see any of these fields in my collection. Am I missing some tihng?

When you add regarding to a collection they are dropped, but a feature is coming Q1 of 2019, that will retain those fields in a collection.

I also want to record Phone Call info from Flow with From/To. The Dynamics 365 Connector doesn't show ActivityParty as an option, but typing it directly works:

Although this thread is about PowerApps, others seemed to be searching for this solution, as I was when I came here.

EDIT: this DOES NOT work :_(

The 'Create' method does not support entities of type 'activityparty'.

Same error when trying through the CDS connector, too.
