Hello Microsoft Support Team,

I have a PowerApps application that I have shared with internal and external users.

Suddenly, today I got an issue reported from external users that they are unable to search in ComboBox and select items from it. but for internal users it's working without any issues.

Please let me know if this is a general issue from your side.

attached show pictures that is working for internal users but not with external users.

    What's the data source for the ComboBox?  It sounds like the external users don't have access to that data source.

    Hello @Pstork1 ,

    The data source is SharePoint List with full control access it was working fine for the previous months and suddenly it stopped today.

    Also, to mentioned that the external users are private domains and Gmail accounts, and for both of them it's not working.

    I've seen cases in the past when ComboBoxes and Dropdowns wouldn't work if users were given permission to a list, but not to the site the list is in when using Choices() to populate the dropdown.  Could that be the problem?  Do the external users have permission to the list alone?

    @Pstork1 ,

    The list is personal list, not connected to any site. also, nothing was changed with the permissions from my side.

    external users are able to open the list and modify records, but the issue only occurs with ComboBoxes.

    What can you advise.

    If its a personal list then its connected to your OneDrive, which is essentially a SharePoint site that has been modified for use by one person. I would suggest changing the definition of the Items property of the Combobox temporarily to a collection and see if that changes what external users can see. As I mentioned when I've seen this in the past the issue was taht the Choices() function required access to the site, not just to the list.  If changing the Items of the Combobox to a static collection fixes it then the problem is something in the Choices() function. That would be my theory.

    @Pstork1

    All the above you mentioned did not help.

    I believe the issue is from Microsoft SharePoint and must be resolved.

    Why would everything suddenly stop working if no changes were made from my end.

    Hi @Liven97Kindo

    Is this column is of people picker because People picker does not work with external users. Please check this

    @swaminawale

    Yes the column is people picker. I have invited the external users as a guest user to our Azure AD and it was working just fine, and they were able to pick people internally and externally.

    Also, to mention one more issue that is currently happening with Microsoft SharePoint List is that after I tried to remove access from one of the external users, he/she is still able to access the list, which gets me to understand that there's an issue going on with Microsoft SharePoint permissions that's also causing the current issue that I'm facing.

    Microsoft is constantly making updates to the connectors. Occasionally they break something with the updates. I assume that is what happened here. As @swaminawale mentioned external users aren't supposed to be able to access the People Picker. It may have worked in the past, but MS has probably improved the security checking in the connector so it won't work anymore. If that is the case there is no way to fix it other than duplicate the information in a list you share with external users.

    @Pstork1 @swaminawale ,

    I did some changes to my code as below.

    Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:Trim(ComboBox_EmailCc_1.SearchText),top:10})

    As I know that this code should work for both internal and external users, but it's working only for internal users and I'm getting this error message for external users.

    So, I'm just wondering if this error message is from my company's Active Directory Policy or from Microsoft side.
