Hi all,

I am trying to set the Submitted by field on the first step of the multistep web form to login user however it doesn't seem to work. Any idea how I can set this value?

    Hi @UmerJaved

You can achieve your requirement by web form step meta data.

    Hi @UmerJaved ,

Could you please share a bit more about the "Submitted by" column in your Entity? Is it a LookUp type field?

Do you want the "Submitted by" field to be auto-populated with current sign in user/contact in your Portal?

Regarding the needs that you mentioned, I think the "Entity Form Metadata" option in your Entity Form could achieve your needs. Please try the following workaround to achieve your needs:

    1. Go to the Entity Forms part in your Portal.

    2. Find the Entity form your first step of the multistep web forms related to. Then switch to "Entity Form Metadata" tab.

    3. Click "New Entity Form Metadata" button. Then specify the Type to "Attribute". specify the "Attribute Logic Name" attribute to your "Submitted by" column.

    4. Scrolling down, and locate at the "Prepopulate Field" part, set the Type option to "Current Portal User", specify the "From Attribute" to "Contact (contactid)".

    5. Go to your Portal Designer, click "Sync Configuration" button -> "Browse website" button.

Please check and see if the following thread or blog could help in your scenario:
