I have heard both names used: Dataverse environment and Power Platform environment.
Are they the same thing?
Which name is correct?
Does environment security group (if applied), and security roles, apply only to the Dataverse part of the environment, or to the whole environment (including items like flows and apps)?
You can create an environment with datavere or not.
People might interchangeably use them.
Custom security roles apply only to Dataverse environments.
Flows and Apps act like applications, so the person creating them owns them, and they can share them using security groups or directly with people. If an App or Flow is part of the solution, it's managed differently.
