Can you please help?
We have created a Canvas App in Dataverse for Teams.
We want to automatically pin it to the left-hand rail in Teams, so this will avoid users following the below process to get the app installed:
- Open Microsoft Teams
- click Apps
- Click Built with Power Platform
- Find the app
- Click Add
- Then when the app appears on the left-hand rail right clicking and pinning the app
We just want users to open Microsoft Teams and see the Canvas App automatically installed.
I have 2 questions please.
- Does anyone know of any documentation on how to get the Canvas App automatically added onto a user's rail in Team?
- And if so, how does this handle updates? What I mean by this is, if we make a change to the Canvas App, if we were viewing it in a Microsoft Teams team, such as pinned to a tab, we'd see the updates in the Canvas App. But how does this work when it's been uploaded as a Teams app? How do the updates show?
Any help would be greatly appreciate.
