Hi all,

Within my topic I have an option to find an existing item within an excel table with the user entering a number to locate this using a flow within my topic. If the user enters a valid number it works perfectly, but if the user enters number that doesnt exist within the table then the bot fails with the details below:

How do I add an option after this failure for the user to re-enter the number or to leave the chat?

Hello @Gwill1983

From Flow Check the Count and Run a Boolean value as true(if available), false(if not available).

Then in the BOT check the Condition if it is True then send proper message else send some Custom Message.

@rampprakash I have the same issue, can you help to explain more? as we don't know how to operate to resolve it, can you help to share screen capture if possible. thanks.

Hi.

So, my current flow looks as below:

When a user enters a serial number that isnt within the excel file, it fails as below on the Get a row step of the flow:

Obviously, I dont want this to just return a failure to the bot. I want it to alert the user that the serial number they have entered doesnt exist.

Do you have any idea how to do this? I have tried all sorts and just cannot find a solution!

If you could explain your theory a little clearer then I will be able to test it

@amydeng I have solved the issue that I was having....

After the initial search entry I have added another flow to check if the entry is in the list. Then running a condition within the Bot to send different messages based on the output.

The new flow is as below:

Formula within Set Variable is
length(body('List_rows_present_in_a_table')?['value'])

This then gives you a number of rows based on the original entry in the bot that you can run a condition against within your bot flow.
