People data type (from CDS 1.0) vs. Calculated Fields in CDS 2.0: Problem

People data type from CDS 1.0, as known, has been cancelled. Calculated fields in CDS 2.0 is said the way how to make a "Full Name" field in a custom entity meant to be for People or contact etc.

Now, suppose i create a custom entity named People, and I create FirstName, LastName fields as text. FullName field is concat First and Last Name. All works well. Needless to say that I created the PrimaryName in People entity unchanged. A People has an Account look up field.

Until, in a related custom entity, say Account, I want to create a relationship as DefaultContact in Account to look up in People entity. I create one, but my problem then is that relationship displays the PrimaryName in People entity, and i do not seam to be able displaying the field FullName from People entity.

Now what?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Yahya,

Assuming you're buildling a canvas app, but let me know if not - you can change this by selecting the drop down or label in your form or gallery and selecting the field you'd like from the related entity.

If you're not in canvas, or you're trying to see this field somewhere else - please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Clay.
