Power Apps for 250-500 users within an environment

Hi there, the licensing on Power Apps continues to confuse me. While working on solutions for small pool of users it is relatively easy to understand.

But when you try and create a solution with a large pool of customers like 250-500 people I cant seem to find the most static and cost effective way to suggest for customers.

Has anyone faced this problem and found a solution or some expert in licensing that can give me advice on how to tackle this sort of problem.

The Solution (App) in question has a premium connector so the users need a license with premium capabilities.

TLDR; What is the most cost effective way to give 250-500 users licenses to access the App.

Thanks in advance.

    Hello @antonhh,

The most cost efficient option in this case would be to use per-app licensing. As long as your users are only using one or two apps, this is sufficient.

If your users use more apps with premium connectors, per user licenses become more cost efficient.

So in short is it only consuming 1 license at a time for each concurrent user that is using the app? Am I understanding that correctly?

Not exactly, since the concurrency of the usage has no impact on the licensing requirement. You need one per-app license per user per app (for all users without per user licenses). Whether they use the app concurrently is irrelevant in this case - per app passes currently not used are not returned to a pool, but remain associated with the user.

By the way, how regularly do users use your app? If they only use it every other month, pay-as-you-go might be another option. Pay-as-you-go is cheapest if your users only use your app irregulary, e.g. only in 2 out of 12 calendar months. Since this scenario is relatively uncommon I haven't seen it very often yet.
